Nieves Ministries Highlights Founders Alex Nieves & Jeremiah Banks – A Story of Friendship, Faith, & Community Impact

Updated: Jan 7

Founded on a bond that began in middle school, Nieves Ministries is a faith-driven nonprofit transforming the landscape of community support in Colorado. Led by co-founders Alexander L. Nieves and Jeremiah Banks, the organization is dedicated to meeting the state’s most urgent needs through hands-on outreach and innovative, professionalized service.

Leading by Example

Unlike many executives, Nieves and Banks remain active in the field—whether they are personally serving meals to the unhoused or providing security at local events. Their "boots-on-the-ground" philosophy ensures that everyone they serve is treated with dignity, safety, and hope.

Programs with Purpose

The ministry operates through three primary pillars designed to strengthen both the safety and the economy of the local community:

  • Pinnacle Defense: Colorado’s first nonprofit security company. Licensed in Denver, it provides professional asset protection and safety solutions, with all proceeds directly funding the ministry's outreach programs.

  • Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of Colorado: An initiative focused on empowering local businesses, expanding economic opportunities, and celebrating Puerto Rican culture.

  • Community Outreach: A robust schedule of hands-on service, including feeding the homeless, back-to-school drives, and holiday gift distributions.

A Legacy of Service and Education

Alexander Nieves continues to ground the organization in excellence, pursuing advanced degrees in Business Management and Divinity. This commitment to professional and spiritual growth recently earned the ministry a city proclamation, recognizing their tireless work in supporting individuals with disabilities and strengthening neighborhoods.

Building Future Partnerships

With support from major partners like United Airlines and Pottery Barn, Nieves Ministries is looking toward 2026 with an expanded calendar of cultural festivals and outreach events. They are currently seeking community-minded leaders to fill advisory board positions to help guide the next chapter of their mission.
