Island of Enchantment Day
Celebrating Puerto Rico, La Isla del Encanto, and the Puerto Rican community of Aurora and Colorado.
About the day
July 25 is Puerto Rico's Constitution Day, marking the 1952 Constitution of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. In its honor, Serve Aurora (then Nieves Ministries) sought to establish July 26 as Island of Enchantment Day.
Mayor Mike Coffman proclaimed July 26 Island of Enchantment Day in the City of Aurora in 2025 and 2026, and Governor Jared Polis proclaimed it statewide in 2026.
