Isla del encanto day

About

Officially proclaimed by Mayor Mike Coffman, Isla del Encanto Day is observed annually on July 26th in Aurora, Colorado, to celebrate the vibrant heritage and contributions of the Puerto Rican community. The date thoughtfully follows Puerto Rico's Constitution Day, serving as a powerful symbol of cultural pride and the enduring connection between the island and the diaspora in the Mountain West. Through the flagship Viva La Isla Del Encanto Festival, this day transforms Aurora into a hub of Caribbean rhythm, authentic cuisine, and unity, honoring the "Island of Enchantment" in the heart of the Rockies.
